Misty
8yo QH type mare

Rescued 10/2022 from Arkansas. She was marked "XXX"/direct ship to slaughter due to founder in her left hoof. Fortunately, we were able to rescue her, get her healthy and give her a chance to foal (turns out she was bred!!!). She was always the bestest girl. Lowering her head for pets to the kids... she was so sweet.

May 9, 2023, Misty gave birth to a beautiful dun buckskin filly, Skipper.

Despite our best efforts, we were unable to make her comfortable enough and had to humanly euthanize. RIP sweet girl.

So lucky to have this lovely little filly. She is so smart and willing to learn. Super sweet to boot!

Registered Standardbred Gelding

LOVE this boy! He is super smart and willing, such a GIANT lap dog! He spent his first few years on the track and won $77,803! The last ~14 years of his life was as an Amish buggy horse. He is the bestest boy.

Artie came from a pen in PA (same one as Skittles). There were 45 standardbreds sitting in that lot in September! Penny at Horse Angels worked tirelessly to find homes for all 45! He is so willing to learn and turning in to a great riding horse.

This girl! She was EMACIATED, chewed up and LAME! Poor thing wouldn't have made it much longer if we hadn't have gone and bailed her from the kill pen. She was with her breeder until 2020 and then ended up with the Amish. They had dropped her off very lame and she went down at the lot due to severe lameness in her front end (abscess and over grown shoes). There was one point she went down and I wasn't sure she would ever get back up. Despite all of this... she is gaining weight and looking much better in only a few short weeks!

We had the vet come out in late November and it was determined Shay had a blown out and broken stifle. After all of her battles, she was finally laid to rest. Loved and well fed. RIP sweet girl. I am so grateful we were able to give you a few months you truly deserved.

18yo Paso Fino Gelding

I won't lie, I thought about selling this boy a ton. He was super spazz, didn't get along with ANYONE, ran through fences. He lived the first few months in the goat barn because I didn't want him hurting himself. He has now bonded with Panz (a full 2hh taller lol) and loving life. He is the most fun to ride. I am so happy I held onto him!

20+yo Spotted Saddle Horse Mare

We rescued this girl from a Texas lot and believe she came from the Amish as well and may have been exposed to a QH/Percheron stud (pending blood testing). She is pretty standoffish and blind in one eye. She is gaited but will canter (ask me how I know lol). We work with her daily to let her know we are good people and she seems to be more willing to stand and not run away.

This boy has the best ground manners. Best for the farrier, best for the vet, best for everything except for new things lol. He gets a bit nervous... well very nervous. He learns, it just takes him time to get comfortable with new things. He has had 30 days of professional training but is definitely still green. I assume he came from the Amish as he had road shoes on when we rescued him from a pen in PA. He may be available to an approved home.

Milo
17yo TWH type Gelding

Milo is another sweet sweet boy. He has so much woah, its not even funny lol. I think he would do best as a slow trail horse, just to follow another as he is not a fan of riding out alone. He may be available to an approved home.
